OUR PHILOSOPHY

At WISB, we believe in the power of nature to inspire and educate young minds. Our outdoor learning program takes place in natural environments, in Košutnjak forest, where children can engage in hands-on, experiential learning. We follow the anthroposophy model of education, which emphasizes the importance of nurturing the whole child - body, mind, and spirit.

Project developed by families

The initiative for WISB founding is led by a group of families, who are active members of Waldorf Society–Serbia. Our children attend Waldorf preschool program in Svitac kindergarten, founded by the same organization. The energy of this special place connected us, we started collaborating on Society’s projects and decided to use our gathered strengths to found the first Waldorf schoolkids daycare in Serbia which starts in September 2023.

After seeing our kids blossom in the kind and loving environment that is our kindergarten, and experiencing all the benefits of Waldorf pedagogy from both teachers' and parents' positions in this institution, we were greatly inspired to make this practice grow in our society.

We are enthusiastic to develop a space for kids that will nourish their innate openness and love for the world, exploration and learning. A place that encourages their potential, motivation and curiosity, where they will grow intellectually, emotionally, physically and spiritually.We'll give our best to make a nourishing environment dedicated to the growth of all the human beings involved – children, parents, teachers, staff, where they can feel grounded, bonded and cherish good social values.

Our Program

At WISB, we provide a unique educational experience that combines academic learning with creative and outdoor activities. Our program is designed to foster creativity, critical thinking, and holistic development in children aged 7-15. We follow the anthroposophy model of learning, which emphasizes the importance of developing the whole child, including their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.Our dedicated team of educators and staff work together to create a nurturing and supportive environment for our students. We believe that every child has unique talents and abilities, and we strive to help them discover and develop their full potential.

Waldorf inspired preschool and school kids programs

At this moment, we are offer tailored Waldorf programs for preschoolers and kids that attend 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade of primary school. WISB also organize workshops for parents and professionals that are about to learn more about Waldorf pedagogy.

Outdoor Education

At WISB, we believe that outdoor education is an essential part of a child's development. Our forest and/or farm trips provide students with hands-on learning experiences in nature, where they can explore, discover, and connect with the natural world. Through our forest trips, students learn about sustainable nature, animal care, and environmental stewardship. These experiences help to foster a love and respect for nature and develop a sense of responsibility for the world around them.

Welcome to WISB, a Waldorf daycare for primary school kids aged 7-15 years old. Our unique approach to education provides natural and holistic learning experiences that are tailored to meet the needs of each student. Our curriculum is designed to foster creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.
